#6 Transportez-Moi ! June 2022: vehicle end-of-life and conversion

Decarbonising transport is a fundamental challenge of the C21st. With sales of new petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles set to be outlawed in the European Union, there are going to be many consequences: on jobs (mechanics, for example), which are going to disappear or change; on supplies of rare earth metals; on the urgent need to install electric charging points and stations. At the same time, opportunities will arise for recycling the many millions of combustion engine vehicles on the roads today.
