📌 Open payment – what to expect for public transport & decarbonising mobility – 23 September

▶️ Access to public transport using bank cards is becoming increasingly widespread in France and abroad. Given the need to decarbonise mobility and tight budget constraints, what can such a service offer?

❓ Is it limited to urban areas, especially large cities, and to occasional users, tourists, and business travellers?

❓ Does it increase or reduce the cost of public transport?

❓ Can it manage journeys combining parking, regional trains, urban public transport, and bike-sharing?

❓ What about its potential impact on reducing emissions and the business model for public transport?

🧐 These questions will be answered (in French) by a panel of experts and mobility organising authorities (autorités organisatrices de la mobilité, AOM) who, under the auspices of Mobil’in Pulse with strong support from Cerema (French Centre for Studies and Expertise on Risks, the Environment, Mobility and Urban Planning) and its MaaS observatory, have produced an objective, in-depth report on the subject.
